Is your business or nonprofit related to young children? The Week of the Young Child Celebration is a unique opportunity to showcase the work you do and interact with families. Last year, more than 2,000 children and community members attended! Each booth should offer an activity for children, and we’re happy to help you brainstorm.
We’re looking for individuals willing to help out on the day of the event! Volunteer roles include supporting vendors with set-up and activities, welcoming attendees, handing out books, and assisting throughout the Idaho Botanical Garden. It’s a great fit for a local business in search of a volunteer opportunity for its employees. If you are interested in volunteering, please email Allison Maier at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Week of the Young Child™ is an annual, nationwide celebration that focuses public attention on the needs of our youngest children and their families, and recognizes the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs. This year, the Week of the Young Child is April 8 - 12, 2019.
Help spread the word! Ask Mayors and other local government entities (County Commissioners, Town Councils, etc.) to proclaim April 8-12, 2019 as the Week of the Young Child™.
